Training Snippets is a website designed to support safety training. It is essentially a growing video library designed to make safety training engaging, easy to deliver and above all affordable. Ideally it is for use with a toolbox meeting, general training or refreshers but there are many more applications. Every snippet comes with training guidance notes and there are added extras such as stills and posters.

The website was launched just last week and we’re thrilled with the results. We think it’s a fabulous website and would love to get your feedback. Please feel free to spread the word!

Embracia have just launched their new website, www.embracia.com.au. 37 South Films produced all of the video content, which included 7 films and 3 x 15 second television commercials.

Working for PETE FORD, creative genius from Think OTS, they are trudging over the sand dunes and cliffs of some of Australia’s most beautiful coastlines filming for the Australian Pavilion at the 2012 South Korean Expo.

A heady cocktail of night skies, full moons, waxing moons, motion rigs, multiple cameras, timelapse, long exposure AND a remote control helicopter.  What more could two boys in shorts want?!!!

37 South Films worked collaboratively with Plenary Health to produce the interactive disc that accompanied the bid submission.

Our key contributions were the main submission film and a documentary on Maggie’s Caring Cancer Centres which we filmed in London.

Bid Films are exciting, challenging and demanding. We readily acknowledge the sleepless nights and chewed fingernails but at the end of the day the results make it all worthwhile, VCCC being a prime example.

37 South Films has just completed the seventh and eighth training animations in the Lockey series.

‘Lockey: Agent 11426′ is ANZ’s Information Security animated mascot – a klutzy character who delivers security training with a touch of comedy to ANZ globally.

He has been so successful that ANZ have created a Lockey ‘action figure’ to ensure that security is foremost in everyone’s minds.

We have just wrapped up our third series of videos that 37 South Films produce for us. Our animated character, Agent Lockey, stars in a series of educational videos that help clarify for staff what they need to do to protect our corporate and customer information.  This is a fun and effective way to communicate our messages and staff enjoy the comical yet educational approach that Agent Lockey takes. The videos are short enough to remain impactful and staff are able to receive valuable tips and hints in only a few minutes.  The latest videos were filmed with the voiceover recorded all in the same day and the turnaround of the finished films was impressive. Thanks to the crew at 37 South Films for once again producing the high quality videos we have come to expect!”

37 South Films recently produced an educational film for Metlink called ‘Metlink Adventures – The Challenge’.

This film is being used to educate primary school students on how to use public transport.  Apart from getting the important messages across, our biggest challenge was engaging an audience ranging from Prep to Grade 6.  We managed to achieve this with a great script, a great cast and a great production.

‘The Challenge’ has been nominated for the 2011 ATOM (Australia Teachers of Media) Award for Best Primary Education Video Resource – good luck to us!

37 South Films was engaged by Metlink to develop a DVD to assist in the delivery of key public transport safety messages as part of the Metlink Adventures primary school program. Since its launch in July the feedback from both teachers and students has been overwhelmingly positive. Teachers and students consider the character Arlo to be  ‘a great ambassador for public transport’.  The DVD is an excellent way to consolidate lessons learnt during the session.”

With the success of the first film – ‘Brushing Up on Oral Health’, 37 South Films has completed another film for Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV).

This time the brief was to educate oral health professionals that treating a person with an intellectual disability is no different from anyone else – it just uses another set of skills and a bit of thinking ‘outside the square’.

We had the pleasure of working with actors from Back to Back Theatre.
Back to Back creates new forms of contemporary theatre imagined from the minds and experiences of a unique ensemble of actors with disabilities.

37 South Films recently produced another film for the Department of Human Services (DHS) titled ‘Rights, Choice and Responsibility’.

This project is an information tool for Support Workers who are working with individuals with a disability, and it highlights ways in which they can work collaboratively to ensure the individuals can live their lives to the fullest.

The film is underpinned by a drama piece to emphasise and create discussion points to assist Support Workers in making these important evaluations and decisions.
Pre-production was critical to ensure the drama depicted real life with a little touch of ‘magic’ for our target audience.
