Metlink: The Challenge

The second in a series of videos for Metlink, ‘The Challenge’ is a ten-minute educational film aimed at primary school students. The young cast, colourful script and ‘video game’ presentation help turn what could otherwise be an information-heavy instructional video into something warm, engaging and fun.

‘The Challenge’ is currently being launched at primary schools across Victoria. It was awarded ‘Best Corporate’ in its budget category at the 2011 Australian Video Producers Association Awards, and was a finalist for the 2011 ATOM (Australian Teachers Of Media) Award for ‘Best Primary Education Video Resource’.

37 South Films was engaged by Metlink to produce two DVDs to be used as part or our existing education program.  During the tender process, 37 South were able to articulate an understanding of our business objectives and requirements needed to engage with our target audience, which ranged from Preps to Year 10 students.  This insight promoted a high level of confidence which was supported by the immediate delivery of two creative treatments which met all our core objectives and criteria.  From conception to post production, the process has been considerate, thoughtful and efficient. 37 South Films’ professionalism ensured we enjoyed the creative journey which has produced two educational DVDs that we are extremely proud of.
