Yes, it's torture standing around in a kitchen watching someone prepare delicious meals and yet not be able to eat them!

4 projects in quick succession - an awards entry DVD for the Banksia and AIPC Environmental Awards, 2 different DVD's to be screened at the public Open Day, plus a record of events from the Open Day itself. Whew! The new Centre is a beautiful building to film in, loads of interesting angles and an abundance of light.

This was an interview-based project where we pieced the story together through a series of interviews with ANZ team members in Brisbane and Melbourne. Showcasing a state-level program about to roll out nationally, this project had to effectively impart the importance of the program and yet be entertaining to engage the wider ANZ audience.
Heavy on post production animation, this entertaining piece followed A.N.D.I. (Artificial Neural Directive Intelligence) as he discussed Professional Development and Support issues with DHS staff. Shot over two days with five actors at two locations, we had a lot of fun as this job came together. Directed and edited by Peter Pilley.

We spent three days filming at the new Hilton Hotel on South Wharf in Melbourne - each room type, the restaurant, cafe, bar and lobby. The footage was used for their launch party and future marketing needs. Spectacular views of the river and city from the rooms!

What to do when you can't make that conference, event, forum or meeting.... we will set you up with a piece to camera - recorded with an autocue, edited, graded and sent off to be screened in your place. It's a quick, simple and relatively pain free experience!
The second of our recruitment films for Connex, this one covering the roles of Station Hosts and Barrier Assistants. It was a very early start to make sure we captured the morning rush hour, but we bravely soldiered on with many coffees to sustain us. (note: Pod Espresso at North Brighton Station make fantastic lattes)

A television commercial and corporate DVD to educate the public that foster parents come from all walks of life. The commercial used a combination of real carers and staff "volunteers", patiently coached by director Mark Campbell. Personally, I think the redhead at the end has real star quality!

Making something out of hardly anything.... the creative device of the jigsaw was created to visually pull all the elements of this bid DVD together. You'll notice that we didn't even have to start with the edge pieces... that's how we roll at 37SF!

An internal communication for Connex - a map to assist new staff in understanding the corporate structure and departmental responsibilities. Produced as an interactive DVD laid out per the Connex train map: clicking on a particular person would play a video interview with them. Modular in design to facilitate easy updates of personnel, this was a fantastic new take on the traditional corporate flow chart.
An interview with Katie, a trainee driver with Connex. Produced for Veolia Environnement based in Paris, they loved the feeling of the journey through Melbourne. Directed by Andrew McVitty and shot by Colin Bell.

We had a lot of fun making this quick and quirky welcome DVD for new team members at Connex. Riding up front with Tim the driver cracked our usual unimpressed facades... we were soon giggling with every bend in the track. Not to worry, we have since returned to our uber-cool selves.

Part of MCEC's major rebranding of 2008, this post production project incorporated animation of the new facilities on South Wharf and stock footage of Melbourne to create an effective marketing tool for domestic and overseas markets. Note to self: there's a great view of the building progress when parked on the West Gate during rush hour...

Rediscovered (intact!) in 1998, the Submarine Institute of Australia is now working to protect, preserve and promote AE2. This was a post-production project where we pieced together archival images with footage shot by divers who explored the wreck. For further info, have a look at the site www.ae2.org.au

Shot on location at schools in Camberwell and Sale, this web-based project was to introduce teachers to the new Code of Conduct. We were just super excited to meet Elida Brereton (aka Principal Murray from Summer Heights High)! Produced in conjunction with Khevcomm Marketing.
Filming BP Ultimate’s presence at the 2007 MotoGP at Phillip Island was a lovely day out for Director/Camera Operator Colin Bell. And yes, he did buy a motorbike 2 weeks later, though he claimed it was a coincidence. This was our second shoot for BP Ultimate after the 2006 Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.
AMES (Adult Multicultural Education Services) is Australia’s largest provider of specialist, multicultural language, employment and settlement services.
